O Anthony kiedis μιλα για την δημιουργια του i'm with you

συνεντευξη στο Q magazine για το νεο δισκο την φυγη frusciante και για την ταινια του justin bieber!!

Anthony Kiedis told the September 2011 issue of Q Magazine that he cried twice while watching Justin Bieber’s movie, “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” because it moved him so much. He says he wants the world to know about it too!The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman is renowned for his wild lifestyle, having battled drug addiction when he was younger. Anthony is now clean and finds value in other things, such as watching movies.

He recently sat through Justin’s 3D release Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which follows the young Canadian’s rise to the top. Anthony was deeply affected by what he saw, bursting into tears on two occasions.

“I’m a crier. I could cry every day, in a good way, if I just sit and think about my boy. But I sat on an aeroplane recently, coming from Hawaii to Los Angeles, with [record producer] Rick Rubin just across the aisle, watching the Justin Bieber movie, Never Say Never.

I cried twice during that film and I want the world to know that!” he laughed to Q magazine.

“They were doing this very cheesy giveaway of concert tickets to 16-year-old girls. The cheesiness didn’t matter – it was the reaction of the kids. When you saw those little girls crying deliriously, I lost it.”

Anthony has been open about his addictions, detailing his use of heroin and cocaine in his memoir Scar Tissue. He had an unconventional upbringing, with his father John introducing him to drugs and arranging for him to lose his virginity when he was 12.

The 48-year-old doesn’t blame anyone else for his problems though, and thinks his life would have been the same no matter how he was raised.

“That was a little time bomb inside of me that was always waiting to go off,” he mused. “Environment has an influence, but I think that would have happened regardless of my upbringing. There was some demon in there waiting to have its time.

“I never felt like dying was a good idea. I’ve just had a kid, so I’m looking for a long haul at this point.”
New Red Hot Chili Peppers interview featured in the September 2011 issue of Q Magazine!I absolutely guarantee i will need to take a pisss before we’re done’ the bassist tells Q upon meeting (36 minutes later, he does so) As expected of one who has spent hours with his therapist, he cofronts the elephant in the room head on. ‘There is one thing that i do want to express’ he says, each word rattled off like a machine gun round. ‘How grateful i am to John Frusciante. He gave our band so much. As a friend, as a bandmate, he is irreplacable.’ Q:Why did he leave again?
Flea: You’d really have to ask him: probably a billion different little reasons. John is a very intelligent man and he’s doing what he wants to do. What more could you want for anyone?
Q:Did you have any sense that it was coming?
F: I’m open for anything to happen at any time.
Anthony Kiedis: It did not surprise me in the slightest. When the tour ended i knew that change was coming – and as the months went on, and i heard… things about John, then i knew it was a matter of time. But i never once felt like it was over for the band, just that John was going to bow out gracefully, which he completely did. It was for the good of everybody and a blessing for us all.
Q:So you never considered not continuing as the Red Hot Chili Peppers – given you’d now been through seven guitarists?
AK: Gosh. Do you know, i have not counted guitarists.. But no, speaking for myself, i did not. I think it would have been kind of quitting to do that, because i always think the best is yet to come.
F: I’d thought that if John did go that i would definitely not want to continue the band without him, But after he left, something kind of shifted in me and i found myself a really profound love fo the Chili Peppers and particually Anthony. You know, we’ve been friends since we were 15. We were inseparable. And even though are relationship has been really antagonistic… We’re very different types of people: we offend each other and we can both be a couple of self-righteous twat cunt-faces. But i really love the guy and he’s my brother.
Q:There was a precedent of One Hot Minute to consider, though. Not good, was it?
F: There might have been a little element of fear creeping in a while. But the thing is, Josh puts his heart into doing it and i knew if he did that then wee could’nt go wrong. God bless Dave Navarro, and he’s great, but his heart wasn’t with us. The whole process of getting that record done was like pulling fucking teeth in every way.
AK: It was weird period for sure. Musically it was odd because personally it was odd. I had kind of gone off the deep end and Flea was having his own personal struggles. God knows what Chad was doing, but it was probably in a darkened closet somewhere. And then, Dave Navarro is rather unusual and colourful character. All things considered, the fact we wrote songs and made a record was an accomplishment.
Q:Josh looks irriatingly young…
F: Oh, he’s going to get all the pussy.
Q:… But going on first impressions of the album, he appears to have brought some zip to the band…
AK: It’s kind of like starting over again without having to do 25 years of legwork.
F: The trickiest part of gettting together with Josh for me was also the best, which is that he’s completely different to John. There were things that i had come to expect John to do: he’s such a phenomenal musician that i was used to playing something and – bam! – John would hit it. He and Chad and I would lock in, and it was undeniably good. Josh is way different. He’d be floating around the outside with this ethereal, texture thing, It was like, ‘Whoa! When’s he gonna do that thing we know?’ And he didn’t. I had to consciously say to myself, ‘Dude, relax’…

οι red hot chili peppers στο rolling stone magazine και παλι

Rolling Stone Magazine, Issue 1136 – August 4th 2011 features a brief article about the new Red Hot Chili Peppers era by Rolling Stone journalist, Simon Vozick-Levinson.It’s reassuring to realize just how little the chilis have changed in the five years since their last album – or in the the two decades since Blood Sugar Sex Magik, for that matter, so what if guitaris John Frusciante quit (again) during their most recent hiatus?

The remaining members seem to be the same lovable goofballs as always.

Their comeback single from their new album, I’m With You has everything you want from the Chilis: Flea and Chad cook-up a juicy funk-pop groove with plenty of cowbell, new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer kicks in some rangy riffs and Anthony Kiedis woos a wild child with the type of come-ons only he can deliver with a straight face (“ticktock, I want to rock you like the eighties”) before leaning into a huge, pleading hook. Welcome back, dudes.

O KIEDIS KAI O JOSH ΕΞΗΓΟΥΝ ΤΟΝ ΤΙΤΛΟ I'M WITH YOU

Anthony Kiedis and Josh Klinghoffer tell MTV how they came to choose I’m With You as the title of their new Album! New guitarist Josh Klinghoffer came up with album title, which has become a rallying cry for Chili Peppers fans.
Anthony Kiedis and Josh Klinghoffer tell MTV News how they chose I'm With You as the title for the Red Hot Chili Peppers New album New album title by Josh Klinghoffer
By now, you’ve probably seen the cover of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ I’m With You, a minimal, macabre work by British artist Damien Hirst that’s a long way from the hyper-color, freak-out cover of The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, to say the very least (and, as any art major can probably tell you, sort of recalls Hirst’s own “Lullaby Spring” too). Now that you’re familiar with the artwork that will adorn the album, you may be wondering about that title — after all, I’m With Youis the first Chili Peppers effort since 1989′s Mother’s Milk to not take its name from a song on the album. So why did they decide to break from tradition this time out? Well, as they told MTV News last month (in an interview you’ll be seeing plenty more of in the very near future), it had everything to do with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and a single scooch.
“We thought of calling it a song title off the record, and when I mentioned that to [producer] Rick [Rubin], he said, ‘That just makes it seem like we don’t have enough ideas,’ ” RHCP frontman Anthony Kiedis said. “And I didn’t even stop to think of the fact that every one of our records is like that, and I don’t think ‘shortage of ideas’ was ever our primary dilemma, considering the mountain range of scraps we left behind. So, as an experiment, I started making lists of titles, and all of them, in retrospect, were quite lame, and none of them really captured the spirit of this record, which we had all very much fallen in love with.
“And then Josh showed up one day, maybe a day before there was some sort of deadline for a title, and he wrote ['I'm With You'] on a piece of paper,” he continued, “And very subtly scooched it [in front of me], and I was like, ‘What’s that?’ And we all kind of put our eyes on it at the same time and went: ‘That is the title of our record.’ ” Klinghoffer said the title came to him almost out of nowhere but that it seemed perfect — not just for the band’s new album, but for where they are at this point in their careers too.
“It seems pretty open, pretty apropos to where the band is, what the band’s doing, how the record wants to be related to, or related with,” he explained.
And, though it may not be the most traditional Chili Peppers title, I’m With You has already taken on new life as a de facto rallying cry for the band’s fans. And that’s an added bonus no one in the band could have ever predicted.
“It’s open, and there’s not really a negative connotation. It’s inviting. The first time I heard a non-one-of-us mention it, it gave me the best feeling you could imagine,” Kiedis said. “Unbeknownst to me, the news [of the album's title] had hit the radio, and some kid came up to me and he shook my hand and he said, ‘I’m with you!’ And I was like, ‘Why are you saying that? Where did you hear that?’ He said, ‘I’m with you!’ And then I realized that he must’ve heard it on the radio or something, and it was just a great feeling.”

Happiness Loves Company
“Start jumpin’ cause we’ve got something to say. Young lovers keep it pumping, in the street of L.A.”

Dance, Dance, Dance
“Let’s say hello, it’s safe to go. Dance, dance, dance, dance. All night long and all night long.”
Overview: Worthy end. There is no other American band that knows how to feel the pulse of LA, our city of fucking angels, like The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie
“Tic toc I want to Rock you like the 80′s, Tug boat Sheila, is into memorabilia. Who’ said three is a crowd, we better get it on the go.”
Overview: First single, another spoken word for Anthony, pop jazz + percussion, funky rock. A spin from power pop to funk style of the classic RHCP CALI.

Goodbye Hooray
Curb your tongue oh scallywag / because you’ve got no flag to wave / save your breath for the black and white / every dog will have his day
Overview: Despicable. Black and white = the police. No flags have to wave= touched rock bottom. Every dog will have His day = The bastards pay sooner or later.

Did I Let you know
When we envision / lack of division / the planet does / another revolution.
Overview: Verses that describe the social commitment that has always characterized the RHCP, Flea and the beginning of Silverlake Conservatory of Music for kids who want to learn to play but do not have the means. Trumpet solos and an air burst of a military march.

Brendan’s Death Song
If i die before i get it done / take my words and turn them / into signs that will survive.
Overview: Nice ballad. Ode to Brendan Mullen, one of the first to believe in their talent making him open for Bad Brains, Club Lingerie, one of the more than 80 years of LA living. Died in 2009, and also the author of their first picture book, The Red Hot Chili Peppers “An Oral History Visual. Love song, enlightened about their history, spoken word California-style guitar of Anthony and Josh go with a musical medley of memories of the band.

Annie Wants a Baby
She had a gold mine, but then she wasted away.
Overview: Kiedis mirror retraces some of the stages of his life: by Cosma Shiva, the daughter of Nina Hagen, as was done outside the band because, stoned, he would disappear for weeks (for a dose has sold a guitar autographed by the Stones!)

Police Station.
Overview: One of the best. Slow, emotional, mirrors of a past life lived. Warning: for each song, listened to every artist, everyone can identify with more or less because of his personal experiences. Police said the United States California who lived there at the turn of 80/90 years: a mix of racism, Crisp & Bloods, colors of Dennis Hopper and Sean Penn, the degradation of Skid Row, the first hip-hop and rap later, the blacks and Mexicans. What was to become, and that..

Ethiopia
Overview: It reflects the new spirituality of the band. Instead of drugs and alcohol, meditation, and injections of ozone, not heroin. Love for children and family. Respect and hope. The Red Hot older (good)
